101 Guesthouse Hotel

Room was comfortable, clean with necessary amenities and comfy beds (I had two single beds pushed together). For a solo traveller the room was a good size but for two people It would be a little bit of a squeeze. It has a great location with a supermarket and restaurants just a few steps away and the bus stop is just across the street. Easy check in and check out, even if you arrive after and leave before the reception is staffed like I did and the communication from the hotel regarding this is very swift. It was all I needed.

Clean guesthouse, with shared kitchen, shared bathroom and shared showers, everything clean. Location was great, it is right next to Laugavegur shopping street, 9 min walking to Hallgrímskirkja church and 20 min walking to BSÍ Bus Terminal (where you can take buses to the airport).

It was a basic room with shared toilet and showers that were fine. It was great to have the use of a full kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave. Conveniently located near pickup bus stop #9 for tours and Flybus. An all-night convenience store was 1/2 block away, so I could get my morning coffee and fruit and yoghurt before I left for my early morning tours. They were very accommodating to hold my luggage before my bus picked me up for the airport.

It's a basic hotel, but it has everything a visitor to Reykjavik would need. Many restaurants and shops nearby, including one food court. Walking distance to most of attractions, and very close (5 minutes walk) to Bus Stop #12 where many tours around Iceland start from. The room is relatively small, but it had a nice bathroom, wardrobe, desk, small fridge and water kettle. Beds were comfy as well.

I loved the location (at the corner of the main tourist drag Laugavegur and right across the street from one of the designated stops for all tourist and airport busses (Bus stop 9)) and the friendliness of staff. I liked the hassle free checkin in the middle of the night when I arrived, the free luggage storage on my departure day and the fact that the staff let me stay in the kitchen until my airport bus arrived. I also liked the fact that there is a shared kitchen with all necessary facilities. I booked a room with shared bathroom, but the room had a sink, which was nice. The room was warm, comfy and clean.
